Some people can trace their lineage back in time for many years. That is not the case with this particular branch of the Cashion family. We can trace back to my great grandfather, but of him we know very little. We believe he was from Ireland, but exactly when the family came to the US is unknown. His name was John and he married Bridget McNamara. They had a son they named Albert Edell. There were other siblings
Whether we are connected to the particular branch of the Cashion family that founded the town or not is a question that lingers in my mind. At any rate, my youngest son and I made a pilgrimage to the town of Cashion Ok. a few years ago. I had wanted to go there ever since I found out there was a town named Cashion. It was a trip I will never forget, and I hope to return one day. Here are a few photos of that day.
